John T. Bambury (July 10, 1891 – November 4, 1960) was an American actor with dwarfism, best known for his role as one of the Munchkins in the 1939 film, "The Wizard of Oz". Other roles included The Ranch Owner, Pop Lawson in "The Terror of Tiny Town", one of the Mole Men in "The Adventures of Superman" and the midget musician in "An Angel Comes to Brooklyn". His character is a featured plot point in the 1936 Hildegarde Withers film The Plot Thickens featuring James Gleason and Zasu Pitts.
He died on November 4, 1960 at the age of 69 in Los Angeles, California.[1]
